I picked up a pie from the freezer. Steak and kidley.

Threw a few chips and Bisto gravy at it for lunch.

I looked at the steak n kidley first but I know the mushrooms are really nice pies. Next time. Hard to find a good steak n kidley pie here.
Dam hipsters and snowflakes!!

I know “the hipsters” get blamed for a lot, but that’s the first I’ve heard that they ruined pies.

Is that fresh pork cheek? The same portion that Guanciale comes from?
Well also guanciale comes from the cheeks of the pork, but it's the fat part, the cheeks are the muscolar part, rich in collagen (that's why it needs a long cooking) but poor in fat!
With the long cooking (I use the pressure cooker) they became as butter!

Since I post a lot of salads, here’s one mid-assembly:

Pork and sauerkraut, using up two pork chops from the freezer, but no pics, I forgot. Pork loin chops aren’t my favorite for pork and sauerkraut.

This week will be a lot of leftovers/freezer meals. I’ve already got the next two planned.

Oh lazy people are the worst. I think I am going to lie in bed with the TV remote control now.
These guys dont give a rats about customers, too busy looking at themselves in mirrors and how their hair looks. Combs in their back pockets.
I imagine them looking at us , thinking this is the best job ever.....if only we didmt have customers lol.

Do people tip in New Zealand? In the US servers work for tips and make very low wage otherwise. I know in some countries wait staff make good money and tipping isn't the norm. In the US its customary to tip 20% of the bill.

The liter to gallon part is easy, it's the ever changing currency rate that's problematic.

I remember back in the 70s when Coca-Cola changed the size of bottles to the metric system. It stuck in my head for some reason. A litre (liter) = 33.8 ounces, which is just over a quart (32 ounces). There are 4 quarts in a gallon, so it's simple math.

A gallon is 3.8 litres. I know that because I had a few GM cars with 3.8 litre engines, nicknamed "gallon engines."

I have a thick, bone in pork loin chop marinading right now, to be sous vide and seared. Yes, not the best cut for pork and sauerkraut. They can dry out if you are not careful.

In my business, it is often my customers who prevent me from getting any work done.
