Egg and beans on toast
How long ago was that? Not really. In the UK, I was served white boiled rice with a side of garden peas as my only food on one occasion. They called in pea risotto.
I don't think I've had even a half decent meal in any UK hospital including private, though because I don't recall the food at the private hospital, I can only assume it wasn't too bad compared to the NHS still I've been served over the years.
My back surgeries were done in the UK in a Bupa hospital in 2014 through to 2016.How long ago was that?
I've done a few stints in the hospital and I always lost weight. Perhaps not all of it because of the lousy food but it played a part. Not really. In the UK, I was served white boiled rice with a side of garden peas as my only food on one occasion. They called in pea risotto.

It's good that it isn't bad everywhere.I was surprised when I was in hospital here. Full menu and tasty.
I didn't expect that
Big portions as well, I would have gotten fat if I stayed there longer than the 2 nights I was in
James Beard, the famed food critic for the New York Times once said that the measure of a chef's skill is in the soup. You get a James Beard thumbs up for this one.I made homemade seafood stock using lobster, crab, and shrimp shells for my seafood chowder: potatoes, carrots, celery, shallot, garlic, asparagus, and cream with mahi mahi, shrimp, and king crab. Sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish. Pretty awesome!

Hopefully her stay will be short and she will be back on the site soon.No doubt. But I am sure if there are no mandatory dietary restrictions her daughter can sneak her in something yummy.
