We both wanted to keep busy yesterday. Apple, sultana and chopped walnut Burek

Then I made Meat and potato Burek. My wife did the pastry pulling. I fried 500 grms of minced veal till it was dry. I then added 1 grated potato and 4 tbls of Worc/sauce and fried till dry. Let it cool and added chopped onions.

We then made Cheese and spinach Burek and Cheese Burek.

So last nights dinner was assorted Burek with salad. Pud was the second two pics of Apple burek with custard.

Never made pasta from scratch so will try some tagliatelle as you suggest.

Well ravioli is made from the same basic pasta dough so once you have perfected tagliatelle then you are half way there. Best thing to do is make a very small amount to start with to get the hang of it.

My idea of “only water today for lunch” is pork sausage in tomato sauce served with polenta bergamasca

I had two Breaded Chicken Patties topped with melted Asiago Cheese and for a side, Creamed Pistachio Scalloped Potatoes.

Roast beef (topside) cooked sous vide then seared. Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, carrots with fennel seeds, sautéed leeks with Balsamic, celeriac puree and red wine gravy.

A pudding bun, or 'puddingbroodje' in Dutch. It's a traditional sweet treat I for some unclear reason never tried before. It's delicious! It's a soft bun filled with thick custard pastry cream made by Dutch bakeries they're instantly a favorite of mine now.
