The supermarket sold smoked mackerel, trout and salmon in a single pack for £4 which was just enough for the two of us, I mixed the mackerel with creme fraiche, Lemon and dill to make a pate just to give a different texture. We will be having it again.

This sushi restaurant is really divine. I swear they must serve this in heaven 😄
You've got me craving some. We have a location about 10 miles from here that has great sushi. I just have to budget it in. Of course I might be able to ease the cravings a little by doing a sesame encrusted seared ahi tuna steak and make some spicy tuna hand rolls. I have all the stuff on hand except the cucumber and I need scallions (my green onions are covered in snow right now). Yeah, I need to resist temptation until I can go back to work. It's pretty easy to spend $100 on sushi. Sigh.

and as I promised some photos when I transfer to the laptop, here they are...I do have time now, my teaching has been transferred online(covid) since Friday, so I have not travelled yesterday.

plus since this morning my daughter has tested positive on a home test (covid). apparently there was a pupil in her class with fever yesterday...I have asked for a testing term from our GP doc. we are not leaving home for the next 10 days, except for the testing, whenever it will be.

My boyfriend's delicious burgers.

It was quite cold, -6c in the mornings and evenings, and a warm bowl of soup is just perfect.

Meat in sauce over gnocchi and pickled beet.

All these dishes were cooked a while ago, I do not remember the exact days, and that is ok.:smug:
I am so sorry your daughter tested positive, hopefully she doesn't get symptomatic, or at least very, very mild if so. And I hope you stay well.

Yeah this was 50 euros worth of it. Not a cheap food, but so worth it. We can spend only 150 a month on fun things right now, but this was so worth it 😍
I am sure your sushi is great too!

It's just not the same, though. I love salmon nigiri, BBQ eel, and so much more! My handrolls are good but I like a variety. I want what you showed in the pics, LOL!

Ohhhhh, sensitive stomach be damned, those look gooooood!
Thanks. This is the first time I've ever made breaded hot wings, which I don't care for that much, but these were good.

Every time I make hot wings:

MrsT: Great. Hot wings. I can't eat those. I have heartburn/upset stomach/some other mystery ailment.

Me: It'll be fine.

MrsT (tasting wings): Dammit! These are too hot! I can't eat these!

Me: Just put some dressing on them.

MrsT: Well, I can probably eat one.
