What did you cook or eat today (January 2023)?

I had a light lunch today because working in the garden means I munch on things (such as Lebanese cucumbers, carrots, strawberries, the odd raspberry here and there, tamari roasted almonds) because hubby wanted chocolate ice cream as well! I think I also had some cherries in there as well, lol.

Tomorrow he's back at work so not munching will be easier.

There are a lot of Brits like that. They invade Costa del Sol, or Sorrento, or parts of Portugal, or areas of France. Never learn the bloody language, never engage with the local community and then complain that no-one prepares a good Sunday Lunch. Damn them to Hell.

The one thing we never do when visiting another country is expect or ask for 'British' food, we want traditional from the country we are in. I do not want a Sunday roast when in Thailand or Greece or were ever, I want their food please that is why we travel.

I am the same way. I see YouTube videos where people (mostly under 40) go to the fast food places like McDonald's in other countries to compare the food to US fast food. Not me, that's for sure. I want to eat what the locals eat, within reason (I'll pass on the crickets and grub worms, thank you).
