Cranberry and wild rice bread. Haven't tried it yet.

I made a courgette, rosemary rice cake served with a tomato sauce for evening meal.
Due to a lack of planning and thought I actually don't have anything except for courgettes in the fresh vegetables department, so planned to serve it with (frozen) peas, but totally forgot, so It was served with protein alone.

See, you can't get that char with a regular oven. That's either a pizza oven or a wood burning oven. Man, that looks good.

Yes, my home oven could only achieve that charring if I left it at a high temperature, but maybe not even then and I would just have a pizza as dry and hard as a wooden chopping board.
The Neapolitan pizzeria we went to last night has a wood-fired oven and the pizza was sublime.

Last night was a duplicate of the night before (salad, bean & ham soup and cornbread).

Tonight will be more salad and my last ham challenge entry.

Except for the wild rice part, this bread was amazing! Even the rice by itself I wouldn't care for, I just don't like the smell or taste of wild rice, but other than that, it's amazing toasted and buttered.

I don't like wild rice, either (it actually isn't even rice). It is the texture I don't like most.
