Steak Pie. Oh wow, this is good. I used a puff pastry dough for the top and a from-the-store pie crust, and it wasn’t terribly hard to make. Making the crust always adds to the time, and I just didn’t have that extra time.
 
As for tonight, it’s Salad Night:

You know…I a lot of people don’t realize that Kool & The Gang first met while working in a restaurant kitchen, in charge of the salads, and their hit Ladies’ Night actually started this way:

Oh, yes, it's Salad Night
And the dressing's right

Folks, we all got one (what?!)
A night that's special every week
You chop, you dice, you wash your veg
In a salad spinner so chic

On a dinner plate

Finally got around to making the instant mashed potato flakes gnocchi. Used a browned butter-sage sauce with Pecorino Romano.

They weren't quite as good as baked, riced potato gnocchi, but they were WAY better than those commercially made shelf stable gnocchi in the plastic bag at the grocery. Way easier to make than from scratch. I'm going to post the recipe in the challenge.

Prepping for my cousins visit from the gc.. I'm going Indian for them. Butter chicken done.
Samosas from the freezer now I need to make onion bhajees. Rhaita and tamarind chutney.

I haven't seen them for 7 years?
I know it's his choice as I offered a fillet mignon steak . He chose it. They just asked me wine choice.? Surprise me I said. My fave cousin I stayed there a lot and him at mine. I'm more comfortable around him than my own brothers.
Should be a good night?.
Hes a butcher who who has done well for himself . Flash place In broadbeach gold coast. Jetty at his back door. :)
