What did you cook or eat today (January 2025)

You got a seed germination mat?
And how! Yes, next month I'll actually have to figure out what I'm going to plant since I've got far more seeds than "ready to go dirt".

All these seeds and right about 700 ft.^2 I can plant after tilling once. I had 400 ft.^2 last year.

And very fine it looks too.
That was the small plate too, only £10. The sausages, like all their meat comes from the butcher I use, so the bangers are superb. We were also given the largest teapot they have, brewed with Teapigs bags, so really good flavour.

What is that - cheese on tomato soup?
Mom always put butter in her tomato soup. I like it with pastina and butter in it.
It's freshly microplaned Romano, I wanted that sharp saltiness that Romano would provide on top of the soup, and there are also croutons for some texture and extra flavor. This soup is just BEGGING for fresh basil, but it's wintertime here and my plants are sleeping 😴
In place of the butter, I put a few tablespoons of heavy whipping cream in there to give it a more "velvety" texture and add to the overall creaminess.
