What did you cook or eat today (January 2025)

Salad and omelette

The omelette (with yoghurt) was runny, it's just not visible.

Dinner was -
Deconstructed wontons (filling meatballs dropped into the broth to cook). Added to the broth - wonton wrappers (cut into strips), green onions, snow peas, tiny baby Bok choy, bean sprouts, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, hot chili sesame oil, and crunchy noodles.
(Dropping the meatballs into broth to cook was easier on my arthritis than putting in the wrappers and tasted great)

I normally would, but since this one comes recommended, I may just give it a try.
The ingredients are in the text, so just need to check timings
I definitely trust Puggles and glad you watched it to let us know. I always keep my sound turned down on my phone and computer and can't be bothered to change my settings, so if it is in text that's good.

You're like a surgeon!

Homemade pizza with no knead, overnight dough. Pretty good dough, easily stretched, airy and bubbly. Philly cheesesteak pizza with thinly sliced and marinated sirloin, onions, mushrooms, some leftover red bell strips. Italian sausage and onion. Spinach and mushrooms with lightly smoked fresh mozzarella from the Italian deli.

We put the turkey breast in the smoker this afternoon and pulled it at dark to finish in the oven. The internal temp when we pulled it was 147F. It's covered in foil in a ceramic baking dish at 240F in the oven. I'll check it every 30 minutes or so until it gets to 155 then turn of the oven since we probably won't eat until 10 or later. I'll do a quick low broil uncovered to crisp up the skin at the end before cutting and serving. Hoping it turns out ok!

I made pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy and peas tonight. My wife doesn’t care much for pork chops. I did nothing that I haven’t done before but for some reason she loved them tonight. She really liked the peas too. I cooked them and added bacon grease. I did nothing tell her since she thinks cooking with bacon grease is gross.
