I'll have to give you the breakfast story when I have more time later.

We ordered breakfast at 9:10AM - the special, which was a croissant, berry parfait, candied nuts, and a slice of quiche, with an extra croissant for me. This is a cafe where you order at the front and then they bring it out.

9:45AM...no breakfast, so MrsT went in to ask. She came storming back out and said, "They said they 'lost' our order! They're bringing it right out!"

The woman next to us, who arrived a good 10-15 minutes after we did, heard us, so she jumped up, ran inside, then came out and said, "Yeah, they told me the same thing."

Not 90 seconds later, they came running out with her breakfast. MrsT was all 😳😤😡. Don't get between MrsT and her breakfast, and it's a particular peeve of hers for people who arrived later to get served first.

Back in she went. About 15 seconds later, out came the waitress with our food, moving like her butt was on fire, and MrsT right behind her, urging her on.

When they got to the table, MrsT then said, "He needs another coffee, and I need another juice because we waited so long...and I don't expect to pay for those."

"Yes, ma'am."

Turned out, when she went inside, they were just plating it, and they told her to go back out, and she snapped back, "You first! I'm making sure this time!" - it probably helped that she was carrying the table marker stand like a cudgel.

When the waitress came back with the fresh drinks, she also gave us each a card for a complimentary specialty coffee, so we can have those later, I suppose.

It's not too early for the beer that's supposed to go with it. It's 5 o'clock somewhere...time for pre-happy hour wherever you are
Hey, I'm from Cincy - where beer drinking officially starts at 10AM. I think I showed considerable restraint by waiting until 1PM!
