What did you cook or eat today (July 2021)?

I'm one of those people who wants to take pics of every aspect of every meal I'm about to eat, but who simultaneously wishes everyone else around me would just stop with all the pics already.

Yes, I have absolutely complained to my wife about "those idiots over there snapping pics of their food," while snapping pics of my food, and I've not sensed any irony in that at all.

I can relate to that. IMO, this isn't just the Internet, this forum is so much more. We are a group of kindred spirits. But some people don't get it. There are people here who understand the way I think and feel, my passion about food, far more than some of my real-life friends will ever do.

Sometimes hubby asks me if I am going to take pics and I don't, telling him I am plating it beautifully just for me. I do that sometimes and then look at it for a bit before eating it. Sometimes I make pretty food just for me and don't share with y'all. And sometimes I take photos and don't post them even when it looks nice.

I'm with ya there sister. :) :)

Like many of us, you probably have more pics of food on your phone than you do people.

Guilty, as charged .

Okay, I just realized how badly I am derailing. I am going to the kitchen and I'll be back with photos of my tuna casserole, eventually.

I had fresh celery greens and parsley from the garden that I chopped finely into it, along with the thinly sliced tuna, cream of mushroom soup, fresh mushrooms and the egg noodles, and lemon pepper. After it baked a bit I added sour cream and onion potato chips on top.

Tuna noodle casserole -- an American classic that is the perfect way to end a bad day. Eat, crawl into bed, forget the world exists.

If you get a chance to try Cajun spices on your own to prepare in a recipe, I don't think you will find them industrial tasting. They are lively, and can be spicy hot or not, depending. I love it!
Oh definitely! Would love to do that. I assume it was just this particular cheese brand/combination.

See Recipe - Medtran49's gumbo z'herbes for a Creole/Cajun spice recipe. We keep a jar of it made up and ready to use. You can adjust the cayenne for spice heat tolerance as needed. If you don't want to make so much, just use teaspoons instead of tablespoons.
Oh thank you. So nice of you. Let me take a look. And put the missing spices on my shop list.
