View attachment 87608There was much more but not much new photo material.

I have emailed the place about my temporary wheelchair before we came and they opened extra doors for us and even let us choose our table so they proved why they are our favorite once again ❤️
Is that black sesame ice cream?

I love that stuff.

And anything grilled on a skewer.

Last night was supposed to be roast chook with braised fennel & crispy roast potatoes but we were feeling poorly so I used a large pack of drumsticks to make a very ginger & garlic heavy chicken soup to which I added a handful of frozen chicken dumplings & served it up with a hot chilli dipping sauce.

I did roast the chook but that will be for sandwiches, desk lunches etc for the week.

And an update on that shocker restaurant experience - because I booked through their website I got a review request. I’ve been pretty fair I think. Good cocktails, ok food, crap service. Would NOT recommend to a friend. Interested to find out if they respond in any way. Will let you guys know.

Yes it is! My favorite too , thats why I had two 😄

A group of us went to Korean BBQ on an all you can eat deal. They hand you an iPad and you use it to order & re-order in your 2 hour window. We ate our heads off before realizing there was a soft serve machine loaded with black sesame ice cream.

I still managed to eat 2 bowls.

Evening meal. Hubby had been wanting pizza for a while now, so tonight & possibly tomorrow night it is pizza from scratch. I'd forgotten how nice that pizza base recipe was.

Toppings include tomato paste, cherry tomatoes, black garlic, field mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, red/yellow/orange peppers, green & black olives, 2 vegan cheeses & homegrown wild rocket

Edit: the olives are homegrown as well. Green and purple though they are apparently called black, but mine are very definitely purple!

The heatwave is here, touching 30C in my back garden.

So, chicken satay and a Thai style cold noodle salad. This made Lu very happy for the second time today.

It may be cheating but I always use this satay seasoning and sauce mix.

It has MSG in it. But if you don't have an issue with that then why not? Personally, I can taste it a mile off and really dislike the effect of it in any food. I recently bought some corn chips (mainly for a photo & for partner as a snack) and ate one to see what they were like. Oh my! Straight away I knew it had MSG - checked the packet and sure enough, it did.

Don't mind the taste of MSG but it makes me short of breath, flushed (I sometimes break out in a rash), light-headed, and my heart rate increases. Haven't had it in a very long time.

I don't notice it at all.
