Always loved that one.... and "Generals and Majors" which in the original film clip a young Richard Branson briefly appears.

Love on a farmboys wages is my favourite from their performing time. However after Andy Partridge first suffered depression and severe stage fright (which stopped the bands commercial climb in its tracks) I think they did their best work. Wasp Star is my favourite album by a mile (Youtube is your friend). The Wheel and the Maypole, and Stupidly Happy make me smile - the influences of English folk and pub rock are shining bright.

Mayor of Simpleton is utterly brilliant too.

Spanish Tortilla. Not strictly authentic because I had some mushrooms and smoked ham to use up but i didn’t care, it was rather delicious! Eggs, garlic, green pepper, smoked ham, mushroom, sea salt and black pepper.View attachment 41764

Wife made a seafood based soup. Used shrimp shells to make her stock. Sausage, shrimp, potatoes, corn, onion and celery. Very good

Just to clear this up, it's the "language barrier" we sometimes have. I'm fairly certain The Velvet Curtain was having a play at this:

We had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast...breakfast for supper, something I'm morally opposed to most nights, but I didn't get a hot breakfast this weekend.

I love breakfast for supper, but the best is a big breakfast at 2AM after the bars close. My first choice is Waffle House, but Denny's will work.

Pleasant surprise tonight, just walked out the pub, phone goes. Daughter wanted my order for fish n chips, her shout,lol.
Wife and I shared 2 fish 1 meat pattie and 1 sausage and Chips.
Chips in a piece of buttered bread n ketchup.
10/10 again.

Yesterday we had aspargus soup and bacon rolls for lunch, and fish and chips for dinner. Nothing very pretty, so no photos.

Tonight we're going out for dinner for the first time since the lockdown, to the Italian restaurant that used to be our favorite Indian. I will take pictures there,

When I was a kid my mum used to tear the toast for beans on toast (the toast was sometimes burnt, I guess).

I sometimes still do it myself.

Oh it was such bliss to go out for dinner again. The host was also very attentive and kind to as, as we are regulars. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere he created despite the corona measures.

We had tomato bruschetta (on the house), insalata caprese with real buffalo mozzarella, gamba in red pesto sauce, steak in porcini sauce, and a lemon tart to finish. It was very good, and we will be back. Though we have to admit, he was slightly better as an Indian restaurant. But this is certainly still a fine Italian place.
