Interesting fact. Heinz is an a Mercan brand, out of Pittsburgh, PA -- The legendary Steelers play in Heinz Field stadium. But, they have no significant place in soups here. Campbell's has probably 80-percent of the market. I don't think I've actually seen Heinz soups in the store.

Now, they rule the ketchup market.

I'm a Campbell's man. :)

Plain peasant food plus use up stuff from the freezer and leftover bits in the fridge. Two kinds of German sausage, Napa cabbage, onions, potatoes, spices with juniper berries and a touch of caraway, with a little mustard sauce. What was left of the homemade pickled canned roasted beets.

We did our takeaway a day early and split a Philly cheesesteak and an order of "whatever fries," - fries topped with bacon, cheese, sour cream, hot peppers, and onions.

Morning Glory is the queen of plating, IMHO. I just can't be arsed if I'm honest. But my food is good.

Thank you. It really doesn't take much time and there are simple techniques/tricks. To me its part of the cooking process. Why put loads of effort into making the food and then just dump it in a hapless heap onto a plate? Even if I'm eating alone and not photographing something I like it to look pretty.

I agree (to some extent). I used to just lob food on a plate but I now take a little time to arrange the food into what looks to me like a presentable dish. In general I prefer my food hot (if it's meant to be eaten hot) so time is limited. The camera (and flash if required) is set up before the cooking process commences so at least it's ready.

However, you will rarely find me presenting "nouveau cuisine". Except maybe for this one.....

I am usually too tired and too busy to spend time plating. I try to make it look appealing, but I also don't work on making it look like art like you do.
