She wouldn't eat my Thai curry if she knew there was shrimp paste in it.

:D Yeah - its funny how people will often enjoy food if they don't realise a certain ingredient they 'dislike' is in it. I always think the aversion to anchovies that many people have is amusing. As cooks know, they can be amalgamated into all kinds of dishes/sauces and greatly enhance the taste without anyone knowing they are there. Worcestershire Sauce is a good example.
