I'm sure you could keep one indoors. We have an avocado plant growing in our hall that was raised from a stone, and is now nearing the ceiling. It won't fruit, but then you don't need fruit on a kaffir lime tree.

Looks so yummy, one thing I recently learnt about kaffir leaves is to cut both sides of the central membrane. Throw that bit away. And tear the leaves to get better taste. I have a tree as well, the grated zest is amazing eh?MypinchofItaly's scallop recipe - was lovely, thank you!
