Well after my last attempt at a Thai dish where I used a Jar for spice paste I took on board everyone's comments and made my own spice paste. I couldn't believe the difference, to the point I will never buy a jar again. The difference was chalk and cheese so thank you to this wonderful community for pointing me in the right direction. It was absolutely beautiful! , Thai green curry with vegetables, chicken and North Sea cold water prawns & Jasmine rice. I love that you never stop learning when cooking.

:D :D :D

And it looks beautiful too.

I'm sure you could keep one indoors. We have an avocado plant growing in our hall that was raised from a stone, and is now nearing the ceiling. It won't fruit, but then you don't need fruit on a kaffir lime tree.

I use the fruit zest grated, the smell is unbelievable and adds taste to Thai curries. I know the fruit itself is useless, but zest is good. I have a kaffir plant here, I've wrapped at the moment, along with our lemon trees to protect from frosts. We had a -5 frost a week ago. Our plant is about a year old and was from memory $40?
