Last night's dinner and my last entry for the corn challenge:

We went out to dinner for the first time since my birthday 2/26.
Started with an ice cold dirty vodka martini.

I had grilled speckled trout with an herb sauce, mashed sweet potatoes and jalapeno cheese grits.

We were both stuffed but could not resist desert. Bananas Foster Bread Pudding a la mode.

Brought home enough left overs for two more meals.

A lovely looking meal. Our restaurants are allowed to open next week. We were booked into a very good local Italian the night everything was closed, I intend to get back in the night they re-open.

This dish sounds very alien to my European ears. Grilled speckled trout with herb sauce is fine except I'd not expect it to be a creamy sauce - I suppose because its an oily fish. But its the accompaniments which really sound odd. Maybe its me but I'd expect a fish like trout to be served with something like lemony herb sauce, a green salad or asparagus and baby new potatoes. This is no criticism - just an observation.

What is the sauce on the frogs legs?
