I saw “living lettuce” (the ones that come with the roots still attached from the hydroponic system and in a plastic sleeve) at our local Aldi yesterday and though I had no specific plans for it (beside the need to feed the bearded dragon) but it looked so beautiful and fresh and lunch was a big meal so this fitted perfectly.

Much of our grass comes with roots still attached. I believe that some is hydroponic and some maybe not.

Lunch was my equivalent of "fast food"... lol
I didn't get out of the house until 10am, so was late home which meant eating lunch at the food court in the shopping centre...

I have finally sussed that the smallest size they sell is the right size for me. No double filling etc, just the basics with the vegan cheese and vegan sour cream, jalapeno, lime juice and secret BBQ sauce are mandatory.

I did stumble though at the question do you want guac with that? 3 attempts and I still didn't suss the abbreviation... guacamole... yep, we had that as well.

eggplant dengaku.

A new word for me to research.... and I learned:

Nasu Dengaku is a classic Japanese side dish made with eggplant sliced in half, scored and brushed with a sweet and savory miso glaze.

Which is quite amusing really because I've made this before by my own invention without knowing it was 'a thing'!

I remember reading somewhere, a long time ago, that there is no such thing as an original recipe, that somewhere, someone has made that before you over all these millenniums.
Which is another reason that, as I recall, recipes can not me trademarked/copy written, I think ...
