What did you cook or eat today (March 2020)?

Mexican creamed corn soup for lunch. With crackers and goats cheese on the side.

Thanks I only knew snap as in snapping a picture 😄
Here, people say snap occasionally as a stand-in for sh!t, like if you drop a carton of eggs, you might say, "Oh, snap!"

I don't, I just stick with the tried-and-true, "Well, sh!t!"

But it has a lot of meanings/usages here, just sort of a generic exclamatory term.

Having a bit of fun in the kitchen today. Firstly made my version of a "Scorched Peanut Bar". A long time ago when I was a kid these were one of my favourites. Basically peanut brittle covered in chocolate, but I added chilli and tamarind to the mix. Then just now finished some crispy and spicy Chinese style beef strips in time to watch my footy team play, which will be washed down with a few cold beers.

Why is it purple?

Last night: Seared yellowfin tuna with farro and bok choy. I'll post the recipe later.

Today, breakfast: 1 lobe of shad roe, cooked in a skillet with a slice of bacon, one egg, and seasoned with Marsala wine (cooked off).

Today, lunch: 1 lamb shoulder chop. A very light meal, it was a small chop.

Today's dinner, not yet eaten or cooked, but planned: Greek stuffed eggplant, stuffed with ground lamb, tomato, etc, along with béchamel sauce and cheese.
