What did you cook or eat today (March 2020)?

As I am confined to my house, I'm cooking nice things with what we have.

Here is our dinner from yesterday, a Dutch korma curry.

And I baked a spiced pear tart, served with vanilla quark which I am having for breakfast.

Another wife request. She saw the burgers I made when she was out of town a couple of weeks ago and said, "I want that!"

Not the best picture, but I was in a hurry. Burger has the standard Big Mac toppings: special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickle, and onion.

Those chips look jolly good.

Mushrooms and caramelised onions with allspice and capers on cheese on toast (a splash of Worcester Sauce and a sprinkle of chilli flakes too):

Did you buy that in America?

Even here it's called Worcestershire sauce.

Being as it's St. Pat's Day, I for real had Lucky Charms this morning. Not only that, but the limited edition ones dyed green.

And just in the interest of waaay too much info - the green dye apparently can't be absorbed by the body, as it shows up on its way out the chute. This is from a report by MrsTasty, who's been eating it for three or four days now. ☘️ 💩

Back in '82 I was involved in a project to install an 88" diameter sewage outfall in Grimsby in Lincolnshire (says a lot about Grimsby).

When it was completed, the Water Authority ran a test to determine whether the seaward diffusers were working correctly. This involved pumping water containing flourescene green dye through the system whilst monitoring the result by helicopter. The observers in the helicopter saw very little but the Grimsby harbourmaster's harbour was bright green.
