Well after grinding and actually having a lot of fun in the new restaurant for one year, I started dreaming about leaving Germany. Now I'm working on getting a Bachelor in Company economics and to move to australia adelaide.
How has your life been so far?

Wow and wow and wow. So happy you got to work at a restaurant, finally, if I remember correctly it ws one of your goals? And now next, moving, I wish you best of luck. Will you continue in the food industry?
This risotto looks delicious.
My life has been stressful, but I manage to till keep it functional, with God's Grace. I believe even harder times will come, but they also may bring some relief, I don't know. I am still in my core business, which is music education.
 
Actually yesterday for Neighborhood Gal Pals gab fest ... it just so happened that we all were away last week...

Our one Pal is trying to stick to a Keto Diet, so I was supporting her with this Snack Plate that we all shared with a coupla glasses of Wine.
It was nice catching up with them.

Hong Kong Chow Mein

Three of my DH's friends that he worked with back in Hawaii, who have moved to Las Vegas area, just happened to join us for lunch this day... it was a blast, just like being back home AND delicious!

It all looks so good. What sauce was on the Mochiko Chicken?
I want to dive into the Hong Kong Chow Mein. What all is in there?
 
We just had crumpets with vegemite. Yum.
Its cool and supposed to rain
.perfect day for beef casserole. Cooked in wine and red wine beef sachets. Carrots will go in with it..served with mash swede and mash spud.
Made a green pav with green cream. St paddy's day today. The wee ones will love it.

Turkey breast fillet folded and filled with spinach and cheese. I had a vegan cheese and a dairy cheese, 2+2 of each. I really loved it. The only remark would be on the meat, I would have loved it to be even softer.Would a marinade have helped? Or adding water?
Buttermilk marinade would be my classic go to for softening chicken. Works a treat.
But if you google velvetising chicken you'll get lots of options.

The sauce on the Mochiko Chicken is not something that you would typically see back home, but it was tasty, some sort of spicy sticky Asian inspired sauce.
The Chow Mein had Shrimp, Scallops, Choy Sum and Chinese Black Mushrooms all in a lovely broth-like sauce.

Maybe something like a sesame chicken honey sauce.
