The place we were aiming for for lunch, had closed down sadly so we went to a fish & chip place where everything is vegan by default and if you want the NVO you have to ask for it
Hubby had the fish, I had the pulled mushroom burger...
What they didn't tell us was that the burgers came with chips...
The chooks will be happy tonight! They adore chips for some strange reason and because I don't like salt, they're safe for the chooks to eat.

Any salt on them can act as a poison. Birds whilst they still need sodium, because of their size need a minute amount and just a single flake of salt is enough to kill sadly.

Blimey that's a lot of chips! You'd have thought they would would have mentioned that the burger came with chips when you ordered...
It looks veru good though.

Let's just say that we weren't the only people with a lot of chips. The guy to the right of us had ordered a burger and separately chips as well.
The chooks got almost all of the chips from the middle 2 containers (both black). We just ate the chips with the burgers and what wouldn't fit into the takeaway container my OH went and got. My 15 chooks happily scoffed all of the uneaten chips.

The birds here must have built up a tolerance then. We see them in fast food place parking lots and outdoor restaurants waiting for chances to swoop in and steal fries, and any other dropsies.
