What did you cook or eat today (March 2025)

Food from my Japan trip last week - warning: plenty of sushi :)

Japan's convenience stores have great stuff and we ate from those almost daily. I ate several types of these surimi 'crab' legs with different filligs which were all delicious:

Traditional snack called 'Dango' which is a kind of rice dumpling. Ours were 'soy and sweet' flavour:

Aburi Otoro (torched fatty tuna belly). Otoro is the most prized of the tuna cuts and in Japan it's half the price as it is in Singapore. We ate loads of it on this trip!

K, no hits anywhere on the site for Dango so I'll have to make some and post. Like I've got a whole shelf dedicated to rice and all I ever do is boil it...
 
Forgot to take a picture. Frozen Michael Angelo's lasagna and manicotti. Not bad, would buy again. I also found some frozen dough, so garlic rolls as well.
Garlic rolls! I can't wait to harvest mine.
