No: not an exotic fish. Rather, it’s what I found at the bottom of a zipper bag in the freezer just now. It’s corn from last summer…possibly the one before that. And, while it is fossilized, it also still tasted good. I think what I paid for my refrigerator-freezer was worth the money.

Last nights dinner John Dory en (backing bag) papillote with spinach and oven chips. The pud was the left over strawberry mascapone sponge from last weekend. It froze beautifully. The reason I want to be buried at see is to repay creatures like the for the pleasure the give us. The fish was superb, the taste and texture put it in my top five below dover sole and turbot. The only reason it is below them is because of the ratio of meat to head and bones. This is exactly why it is my Croatian wife's number 1. She loves the heads of any sea fish.

Love John Dory, v tasty fish.

Also Trigger Fish.

Unfortunately for me, I've never had one of those cakes. You're a lucky man.
Never say never, it is never too late. With your cooking skills and your human being kindness and positivity and consistency, why not. If that is what you wish for, of course.
And of course, you would be making all of the anniversary cakes... and the date night dishes.. I don't think any lady would object...:okay:

If you only knew the long trail of what I now consider stupendously funny broken romance stories I have locked in this skull of mine that sometimes haunt me with wonderment why things always went the way they did.

Oh I would love to know! Keep on! You are on the right track then, it was just not THE right one for you, yet! Look ahead, not back. Well, you can consult your experience from time to time, but just go ahead. There is a novel I just remembered that portrays a lady, who after a series of romances, even a marriage, finds a new lover in her 80-s. I remember being like, hooo, that is the spirit, admirable.

Just to keep it food related, think of all the wonderful cooking you could do/get to know...

I know myself. And I know that I have come to somehow prefer being off the trail. I still feel the pang from time to time, make no mistake about that. I know that I would have liked having family. But life's experiences have put me in a mood to be on my own. My health has given me more motivation to stay aloof, as well.
