The universe is in sync.

We had scrambled eggs here. Let’s just say mine set the universe back in balance…yin and yang, yin and yang…

No pic, but eggs were scrambled with crispy fried hash browns and cheese in them.

Yum, didn't take many pics as it was the same place as two weeks ago. But it was good.

Badly framed picture because I couldn't see in the sun. English brie (how ripe is that?) Blacksticks Blue and Wild Garlic Cornish Yarg with Serrano, crusty bread, a red onion and beetroot marmalade, washed down with Rose Cava.
Eating outside is a rare treat in this country.

The bartender might be 22. I’m thoroughly enjoying the doofus down the bar who’s at least my age flirting with her and getting a palpably cold shoulder.

I, OTOH, am being respectful and well-behaved and she’s being sweet as pie to me.

…and George Jone’s “She Thinks I Still Care” just came on - I probably should see if they have a room over the bar to rent.

I had to laugh, because when she brought me the grilled cheese, I saw the tomato and a green smear that I took to be pesto, and I thought, “What in the name of god did they do to my grilled cheese?!?!”

I just saw “grilled cheese” on the menu, I didn’t read the fine print (that pointed out it was havarti, pesto, tomato, and “a touch of honey”), so my stomach was not geared up for that at all, which left me a little disappointed.

Fyi that piece of beef is about 2kgs and has a fatty layer around it. My perfect piece of beef. My daughter and I will fight over that wee morsel.
