Is it really better than our own black pudding in the UK? I have eaten boudin noir (and blanc) in France but not sure its that much better than our own - maybe in France there are more varieties though, depending on the region.

Apple is very good with black pudding. I've also tried that wine and I'm not keen.
I wouldn’t say it was better but it’s not the same, this one contains grated onion and apple which is a different flavour to ours. It’s also a much much finer grind so it moulds well into shapes (like for a sausage roll).

I wanted to like the wine but ultimately it wasnt much cop and I wont be buying it again 👍

I made last night risotto with chicken and pumpkin. Pumpkin was from our garden . The last of them.
I forgot to add parma cheese at the end. Nuts.
Just taken bulk processed sausage out freezer. Made with scrap meat. Prolly high in sodium but they are really good in a bit of bread and fried onions.
This will be a quick tea

Lunch yesterday was eaten out due to my doctor running late.

Hubby and I had the same, but because of my dairy allergy, I get the gluten free bread (which is also guaranteed dairy free). It's a peculiarity of this cafe because they've had issues on the past (and I've noticed symptoms of very mild anaphylaxis eating the sourdough they get normally from time to time as well). So they prefer to play it safe. Luckily their gluten free bread toasts well and is OK...

So we both had the veggie burger with chips. Now if you don't ask for a bowl of chips you'll get a small portion of chips on your plate with the burger. Guess what happens when you order extra chips? You got it. You get at least twice as many chips on your plate and the bowl... hubby ate most of them. I'll stick to the smashed avo on toast in future. The burger was ok, but nothing special. At least it wasn't dry.
