Tart/pie with crumbled, cured reindeer (salty, tiny pellets), scallions/green onion, garlic, cranberries (sweetened a bit with maple syrup), walnuts, sour cream + eggs, Swiss cheese, lemon pepper (black pepper + dried lemon zest), rosemary and thyme. Very Christmassy and tasty. Reindeer and readymade rye-oat dough for the crust are hardly available elsewhere - (thus not a challenge entry).

I spent much of the morning preparing the filling for spring roll samosas.

My wife spent 20 minutes inserting the filling into Phyllo pastry.

Then I tried cooking them in the air fryer.........

I won't be bothering again. Back to deep frying the rest (as I've always done in the past). The grass is red oak.

I have spring roll pastry in the freezer that needs using. I never thought of doing a samosa filling.
Thanks for the inspiration.

We are moving house next weekend so I’m resisting my usual urge to batch cook & freeze stuff.

I called OH to get a chook from the freezer yesterday morning then again at 5pm from the car to get it roasting for tea. He did his usual garlic in the cavity but was too distracted to oil & season the bird??

Anyway I made tabouli from garden herbs, we already had hummus that needed using up, I whizzed up a parsley, mint, coriander & garlic yogurt sauce in the NutriBullet & threw the lot on the table with a freshly purchased bag of Lebanese style flat bread.

It was a tasty meal, quite late after box packing. Then we caught the end of a Bond film before bed.

Nz galloping cup here 20 mins from me so with covid and crowds we are having a bbq. At supermarket now getting stuff.
Bangers and salads. Kebabs. Only select 10 asked.
Quiet day
