What did you cook or eat today (November 2021)?

Ok I couldn't find the mince for tea, spotted a chicken and took that out.
Its thawing at 75 deg.
Roast chicken now

Shrimp and homemade andouille jambalya. Not pretty, but tasty.

Made smothered chicken with onion gravy for later in the week. It will just have to be reheated and sides made.

Thanks. They were better than I imagined, also. I thought they'd be flabby, but the outside firmed up very nicely, just a little hard and chewy, while the inside was moist and tender.

Yes please!

I love the way zucchini get a meaty texture if cut the right way into batons. I use my V slicer for the purpose and my son doesn’t pick them out.

Last night I pulled an unlabeled container out of the freezer - my daughter had stuck it in there. Turns out to be beef meatballs in tomato soup. Her grandmother’s recipe. So I reduced it, added whole green lentils & served it with roasted cauliflower & asparagus.

I was tired so had a store bought pizza with pepperoni, olives, mozzarella and leeks (?!, used to be onions) . It was fine but surely not ' authentic pizza from Modena' right, MypinchofItaly ?

Oh sweetie, who cares?
It’s more than fine! Never had leek on pizza but why not, it’s different. When I’m hungry I can eat a table and enjoy it.

* Don’t even think I may eat pineapple on pizza. I rather would keep eating a table

I was just curious , it was tasting fine by the way! But glad to know you never heard of leeks on pizza, I didn't either!
