The place just reeks of luxury.

The weird thing is, or really not so weird when you think of it…they’re more expensive than Kroger on almost everything, just because they don’t have Kroger’s buying power.

But…you live in that small town, which is about a dozen miles from the nearest Kroger (in two directions), you’re thankful for it, no doubt, when it’s Friday night and you want some Jell-O or a pack of hot dogs.

I completely forgot to post this last night. Dinner was a Nolan Ryan (Texas grass fed and finished Angus) NY Strip, sous vide and seared with butter in cast iron. Some mashed potatoes on the side.

How is it possible to wedge a whole pizza down, beaching yourself in the process and then look at a photo like that and find your mouth watering?! 😂

I'm making a big batch of garam masala.
2 cups cumin
2 cups coriander seeds
1 cup fennel seeds.
Another 20 ingredients. I put cups so you could see the amount is big.
I sell it in small batches. I make good money in this.
150 people will be eating tandoori chicken on Thursday.

Did not cook last night. We went to a little place that has been in business since 1976 serving steamed sandwiches. Called Momma Goldbergs. They have a sandwich called Momma’s Love. It’s on a list of 100 things you have to eat before you die. Made a believer out of the 4 year old grandson. 11 year old ate his and half of little bros.

No doubt, I'd totally rock cowboy boots 🤣

Just don't buy any before talking to me first. There's a lot of "poser" cowboy boots out there.

I recommend these:

I lived in San Antonio for 18 months, so you can trust me on that.

"2 cups of cumin" holy sheep. Cumin is really strong, 2 cups of it? I don't even use a half cup a year. Wow that's gonna be strong. But it's for 150 people, but still, I don't know if I've owned 2 cups worth of cumin in my life.

I dunno there partner... I'd have a hella of time gettin' up in the saddle in them thar boots.
Shoot, I'd probably break my neck just tryin' to walk across the street in em ... and what's that on her toenails?

Those are Los Angeles "working woman" cowboy boots boots.
I think they’re the same ones Ron DeSantis has been accused of wearing*.

*For those who may not know, Mr. DeSantis shows off his down-to-earth style by eschewing dress shoes in favor of cowboy boots. It’s been suggested, however, that he’s wearing hidden lifts in them so as to appear taller.

You're missing out.

Even my recipe for garam masala uses a lot of cumin. I get through loads of it each year. I love cumin. It is close to being my favourite spice.
