What did you cook or eat today (October 2020)?

Last night. I made the stock out of veal bones and chicken backs I passed the stock and retained the meat to blend in the soup. I roast the squash to remove moisture and concentrate the flavor. I used a stick blender adding stock and seasoning to taste.

I've heard of that.

I'd like to eat at the legendary Fat Duck (Heston Blumenthal).

I would like that, too, but don't know that I'll get back to England. Heston is a great chef, but his personality (on TV) rubs me wrong. It wouldn't stop me from eating his food. I've had Gordon Ramsey's food in Las Vegas. It was mediocre.

This morning we went for a walk, had lunch in a lovely pub then walked back
TVC had croque monsieur with salad and slaw I had bacon brie and chilli jam with salad and slaw, we declined the bowl of soup on offer with lunch, both butties were huge so we have only had a very very light meal this evening.
