Lunch was grilled sardines with potatoes and green beans

Btw sardines are a common treat in Portugal. These were fresh sardines though, but I can eat canned sardines just fine.

Here's what's funny ... my maternal great grandmother, grandmother and mother where professional seamstresses :laugh: They all did/do all manner of needle work ... knitting, crocheting, needle point, cross stich, etc... not me!

I don't know if this is general with the US or not, but my American coworkers find it really weird/disgusting to have food with eyes (like whole fish, or whole shrimp).

It is not a common thing in the US to leave the heads on food, which would mostly be fish and shrimp.
