Some of the staff weren't even born then :laugh:

On saying that, the guy who served us looked so ghostly white I had to check with TVC that he could see him as well...the guy looked so pale almost terminally ill kind of white.

In 2019 (I think), we went back to the village where we used to live in ‘94 & ‘95, for a nostalgic look round, and of course we had lunch at our old local.

I went to the bar to get the drinks in, and the young woman working there looked 17yo at best, and I joked a little with her, telling her we used to live in the village back in the ‘90’s, and the pub was our local.

“…and I’m pretty sure I remember you as well,” I said, and gave her a little wink.

It went right over her head! :laugh:

Well, it’s October, you’re at an abbey that’s about a thousand years old…that dude was a disgraced monk unable to pass on to the next realm, because he has unfinished business here…namely, back in 1641, he forgot the clotted cream for the scones when Sir Aldus of Burblebury stopped by for afternoon tea, and now he’s paying his penance!
