Last night at the tapas bar:

I did the usual thing of trusting my luck and ordering without translating, and did about 50% on luck.

That first one on the left was tomato and two kinds of cheese, including blue cheese, so I ate up to the blue cheese and turned it over to MrsT.

The second one was just ham. Very good.

The third one was a roast pepper, eggplant, and anchovy. I was able to push the eggplant and anchovy off and eat the rest.

The last one was ham bits, greens, and a light mayonnaise mixture.

MrsT ordered two sunny side up eggs over hash browns - when the waiter brought the dish, he delicately scooped all the yolk out, then chopped the white up and proudly announced “Scrambled egg and chips!”

Crème brûlée (advertised as Cataluyan Cream).

Coconut pudding.

Just finished hotel breakfast, no pics. Had some absolutely perfectly-ripe fruit, 19 kinds of ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, a croissant, and coffee.

Were you near La Rambla? There is an open air market there that is incredible.

Hes watching the all blacks in 1/4 final in france. ( we won)
I watched the game . Argentina, although they gave it all, were totally outclassed by an awesome All Blacks XV. I was particularly impressed with NZ's slick passing and the speed with which they built an attack. Not to mention the sheer brute force of some of the forwards!

Last night's dinner was another recipe from 660 Curries - Mattar Paneer. This is one of my favourites that LissaC can try, now she has the book!!
Paneer is pretty much like tofu, polenta, ricotta. On its own, tastes of very little. Mix it with the right ingredients and it's delicious.
Onions, garlic, ginger, chiles, peas and a creamy tomato sauce spiced with garam masala and cumin seeds.
