Homemade Indonesian pandan - banana bread. The pandan gives it the greenish color. It's supposed to be a little dense and moist.

Yes, we eat near a window, that's where I take most pictures, but I will try putting it in the window still next time!

We have no windows in the kitchen or surrounding area.

Also - check that your phone camera is set to the highest picture size. It makes quite a difference.

I've lived and worked in China for more than a year and not tasted Sichuan chicken before. Whether theirs tastes like mine I cannot say but what I've just eaten was a taste sensation. I cannot relate it to any other dish that I've eaten. Mouth numbing but still very spicy. Maybe the Chinese don't use Thai dried chillis.

1 tblsp Sichuan pepper and 10 chopped Thai red chillis per 350 gm chicken. 1 tblsp each of minced ginger and minced garlic.

Coronation chicken salad. Not very traditional, I grilled the chicken and added avocado and cucumber to the mango. Also found out at the moment suprême that I had no more slivered almonds. But it was still tasty.
