A proper Greek Salad for lunch. I don't intend to do a running commentry on my meals whilst on holiday, so I will do a catch up when we get home..... which won't be for ages yet.

Good eating everyone, I'm now going to disconnect from the world for a few blissful days.

Made a snack which involves puff pastry with: banana, apple, kefir, cinnamon, thyme, minced almonds and walnuts, brown sugar, lemon zest.
I’m going to serve it with a dash of ice-cream

4 cheese pizza . The pain is really prevalent currently.

Today's meal was a baked potato with watermelon.

The baked potato was splashed with cayenne pepper sauce and covered with sour cream and melted cheese.

tonight was a pasta stir fry -
asparagus tips / broccoli tidbits / sliced zucchini / snow peas / slivered sweet red pepper
seasonings: garlic sliced / minced parsley / sliced toasted almond / s&p to taste
topped with fresh grated parm

it's a lot of knife prep - but the veggies cook down in the same time needed to cook the pasta - so it all comes together in about 13-14 minutes.

Father's Day here yesterday (Sunday) daughter and her son dropped off a card and voucher for a meal out.
Wife shouted takeaway for Father's Day, butter chicken for me, malai kofta for her, garlic naan for her. Keema naan for me. Keema is minced lamb filling in the naan.
I ordered a mushroom dish as well, with peas. A fave of mine.
Leftovers for lunch later today.
Mr 7 is here for the day so he will have spaghetti on toast for lunch I'm picking?

Last nights dinner. Cold roast little pig leg and salads. Magnificent and we have half left for tonight. Suckling pig here costs half as much as chicken wings. The leg quarter weighed in with the rib part at just on 2 kg's and cost about £5. Pud was my weekend treat. a nice bit on the side.

I've watched a few videos recently on making these, which means I'll probably get around to trying it by 2025 or so.

My last two attempts were fails. I blame a crap oven...

Deconstructed leftover meat patties in a lovely tomato sauce, part fresh toms part store sauce, over spaghetti.
Kid did cheesecake, sort of back to school homefest.

I will not be eating it, as it has the usual amount of sugar, but I tried a half bite, and it is very good.

I use flaxseed as seed and flaxseed flour. Never used flaxseed oil. So far.

Flaxseed is healthy, but I forgot for which nutrient.

Is flaxseed and linseed the same?

I use flax seeds to make hair gel & I use flaxseed oil as a hair treatment.

I avoid commercial hair products for the most part - specifically regarding sulfates, silicones & alcohol as they ruin my curls.

Fathers Day here yesterday so the kids made a huge mixed grill as is tradition in our house. Bacon, sausages, eggs, toast, baked beans, hash browns, tomatoes & mushrooms.

I made cupcakes because there’s a strawberry glut.
