Basic salmon soup (old recipe) with some extra condiments: herb stock cubes, leek, green capsicum/bell pepper, extra peppers (black and all spice), bay leaves and a hint of grated lemon zest and ginger.

Sounds fantastic to me. Especially with a glass of chilled wine, some bread & the exact right weather for such a meal.

Today's meal was deep fried shrimp and crinkle cut French fries with malt vinegar and a hefe weiss bier.

I cooked USDA Prime tenderloin steaks (Filet Mignon), sous vide and pan seared. Baked potatoes, and steamed asparagus on the side. Once again, I forgot to take a picture before it was too late.

Went shopping and managed to have a blissful lunch alone at a new Dim Sum place I haven’t tried before. A lot of creative twists on old favorites:

Sichuan Dumplings in vinegar

Glutinous rice dumpling

Teriyaki Siew Mai (pork/prawn)
