Its a green olive. Potato, egg and green olive salad:

Oh yeah I do buy olives. But it's not the color of any olive I've ever seen. Doesn't it look yellow or beige? Maybe it has a green tint that I'm not picking up?

The clues all point to your guess though.
It's green, it's just hard to tell because it's so close up. Color can work strangely sometimes.
 
More clues:
  • The somewhat geometric shaped seeds are often used in Indian dishes (curries). The fresh leaves are not so often seen. I grow them in the summer but these leaves were purchased on-line.
  • You may know this as a dried herb.
  • Its a member of the botanical Fabaceae family - so a sort of pea. That fact won't help you much.
  • The name of this plant has 9 letters.
