I that some folks don't like it, wouldn't tough it with a ten foot pole, I get it.

It's good. The texture is different from the 25% less sodium Spam® that I usually buy, but I like the way the the extra sugar from the seasoning caramelizes so nicely when pan fried - `member, no oil needed with this stuff.

Ok so when I said it’s mullet I think it’s obvious I mean red mullet and assume you know that and you assume I mean normal mullet.

You both got it right in a way. Its simply that for a lot of people, mullet means grey mullet (which is very different from red mullet and not even the same species). So I was looking for a specific type of fish. I should have made that clearer. Sorry for all the confusion.

Yes squash. It was microwaved (skin on) for 10 minutes whole. Makes it much, much easier to cut in half and remove seeds. It can then be baked, stuffed etc. If you are using it in soup or mashed or plain, cook a little longer in the microwave.

It took me years of struggling with trying to cut raw butternut squash and deseeding it to discover this.
