We do have a Norway cruise already booked for 2024
One of our very favourite journeys by ferry was on the Hurtigruten ferries up the far north coast of Norway. It was amazing and because it was above the Arctic circle and inside those 3 months, it was 24hr daylight which just meant we saw more of that amazing scenery.
There's a glacier in that photo.
After we got off the ferry at 11:30pm at night we had to locate a campsite
Midnight and the view from our tent
On the way out the following morning.
We were really lucky because the ferry we got onto by chance that day was one of the original ferries the old M/S Lofoten which I believe has been taken out of service now. But it was kitted out in fantastic luxury in true 1960's style. It reminded us of the original James Bond films, plus you were able to go into the lowest levels on the outside almost at water level and on top of that, they allowed you to go up to the outside bridge area except for when docking. I'd been there for quite some time by myself when the captain came out to chat to me offering me a hot cup of coffee or tea!
This is a link to that specific day in our online journal.
Our Second Tour - Touring on 2 yellow bikes: Day 142: Skjervøy
We also did another section of over the top of Norway on one of the newer ferries. Again the scenery was stunning. Neither of us liked the new ship. It was a ship and could have been any ship whereas the first M/S Lofoten.

We've also done a couple of cruises from UK to Norway over the years, but they are all film & paper photos. Leaving Newcastle Upon Tyne and heading into Bergen.
Edit to add M/S Lofoten is still in service, it is the sister ship that was retired in 2012. We did actually meet the sister ship on that journey.
Edited again, to add that she's no longer in service with the Hurtigruten, but as a training ship out of Kristiansund, Norway.
