Maybe because he was so effeminate back then? At least he looks like a man now. And no, I've never been a fan, quite the opposite actually.

Ahhh, Robert Pattinson was first a heartthrob for teen girls after starting in Harry Potter and then the Twilight series, and men mocked him mercilessly (because Twilight is about vampires who glitter in the sunlight -- no joke). Robert Pattinson recently stared as Batman in The Batman and men lost their shit. Even I think he's the best live action ever. So that's the joke.

The next level down is the character in the photo is Wolverine, an X-Men character from MCU (the Marvel Cinematic Universe). The Batman exists in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) and fandom for both war with each other online, so having an MCU character in love with a DCEU character is funny, too.
