You know, when I first set out on my own I was gifted an old cast iron frying pan. In LA, it really doesn't get very cold, and so I never had a heater. I eventually worked out that turning on the stove with the frying pan warmed up my little apt nicely on the rare chilly morning.Sadly I have a husband who does this too me! One fateful week, we had a cold snap and I left the stove on all day and it ended up burning off all the carbon that accumulated. My mom was piiiiiiiiiiised when she eventually visited.
