Yeah, welcome to my world!MrsT uses the rules around how to clean various kitchen items (like cast iron) to get out of washing the dishes.
Only Mr. OH is actually trying to be helpful. I have told him over and over again that if he doesn't completely rinse out the parmesan cheese on the bottom of his plate or bowl and puts it into the dishwasher, it will bind like glue to the plate and then I have to wash the plate after it's harded during the dry cycle of the dishwasher. Frustrating. He also doesn't wash the pots and pans with hot water because it's too hot for his hands. I have tried to explain to him that the grease and soap don't rinse clear with cold water, so if there are pots dried on the rack and I go to put them away, I can immediately feel that slippery, greasy residue on them and I have to rewash. I tell him to just leave it and I will get it when I get home from work, but he wants to be helpful. He also offers to cook or reheat supper for when I get home from work and I don't like him doing that, either, because he is just too messy. Gotta love his intentions, though.
