Best to stay safe. I never made it to Croatia, just Serbia but the mountains were remote and steep. Snow and earthquakes are not a good combination. I've seen avalanches from too close a field and known of fatalities in them. Best not to chance it and live to fight another day. Sausages and beer can wait. (Honest! ).

Thanks for your sage advice. One of the things we will miss because of Covid is our annual trip to Serbia next week to visit my wife's relatives and help them celebrate Orthodox Christmas and New Year. The fastest way to get their is by Bus over the mountains (no flights). You leave Split at 20.00 and arrive in Belgrade at 08.00 next day. I do not scare easily, but we go overnight so we don't see outside.
 
Pears are marinating in Sambuca, since I have these ladyfingers I may try a sort of Tiramisu....

I would think it was a literal in Italian for Paste, but when I use a language translator, Incolla is the Italian word for Paste. So yeah, this is confusing.

Yes I can imagine that, it is easy for non-Italians to get confused by this wording.
The term 'pasta' in Italiano also means something creamy and spreadable or not solid, not only from a culinary point of view.
For example, in Italy dentifricio (toothpaste) is actually called 'pasta dentifricia', although hardly anyone says this anymore because it's a bit old-fashioned.

A sort of. Yep, as I explained above, the term 'pasta' is also referred to something creamy and spreadable..or to toothpaste or sanding paste too (pasta abrasiva)
 
My first online order includes:

Granola replenishment (various)
Dark Rye Flour ( I want to try making another Bread )

With my finances newly injected for January, I will be going to the grocer in the next couple days to get the stuff on my previously posted list with the following additions ...

Eggs
Active Dry Yeast
Molasses ( for the Dark Rye Bread exploit )
 
My wife arrived home this evening with another cauliflower (amongst other things) which she had been given by her mate.

It looks like aloo ghobi tomorrow then.

I think this recent glut of cauliflowers is beginning to affect me.....
