What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

I suppose this can go here - like I said elsewhere, MrsT had a vendor/supplier event at Maggiano’s (sort of upscale Italian chain), and 2/3rds of the people who registered didn’t show, so…

I've always wondered which side was up on those lids. Silver or paper :hyper:
 
Quick click and collect, very small order but had to be quick cos the builder said he'd be here early, which of course he's not, didn't believe him when he said it either!

Sausages, rolls, ice lollies, popcorn, piles of biscuits (cos I think they're keeping the Cookie Monster in their van) and coffee.

I was going to cook enough sausages so the builders can have a roll too but I've noticed lumps of cement set into the newly laid drive so that kindness has been rescinded!

Giant boxes half off, and a dollar in cash back on my loyalty card (they say…I’ve yet to see it work).

I’ve gotten quite fond of my fizzy water, and that cranberry one makes a great cocktail mixer.

I normally wouldn’t buy those tube doughs, but I have a load of little cocktail sausages to use up, leftover from NYE, so that’s where those will go.

I love them... so jealous. I can grow the plants here, but I don't have the pollinators and rarely get aubergines sadly, so didn't even bother buying the plants this year. I can't germinate certain seeds like aubergine, cucumber, squash and courgettes. The temperatures early in the season are not warm enough to get the seeds to germinate and allow the plants to establish before it gets too hot for them, then they enter survival mode until autumn arrives, that's when they typically fruit and deliver the crop.
