Just discovered that Thai Kitchen products are made by McCormick. Not a bad spice company, but the fact that the product is industrialised would explain the lack of heat.
Wow, never buying that again. Badjak is going to post a recipe or such for curry paste and I'll go from there.Just discovered that Thai Kitchen products are made by McCormick. Not a bad spice company, but the fact that the product is industrialised would explain the lack of heat.

Cathedral City Plant Based Spread £0.00 (£3) - this has a Best Before date of tomorrow and as I've recently become aware I'm lactose intollerant it's a very cheap way (it was free) to see if I like it!
I normally have cream cheese with some smoked salmon on toasted brown bread or I have some crackers with cream cheese and picked mussels on top but - not tried this plant based one before, all the others I have tried have been lactose free. I have also picked up some plant base Boursin to try as well so we'll see how it goes!Let me know about the cathedral city cream cheese 👍
My experience of vegan cheese as a dairy lover is it needs to be used sparingly and with other strong flavours to work.
Sprinkle some chopped spring onion or smoked salmon on there and no doubt you’ll be laughing, try eating it as a stand alone ingredient and you may well just find yourself craving the real deal. Well that’s what happened to me.
Also ‘Milkaid’ drops are very good for mitigating the symptoms. The table IMO don’t work as well.
