What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

They are fried in butter with a splash of balsamic vinegar and a splash of maple syrup in the pan at the end, then reduced fractionally to make the dressing. The livers and dressing are warm/hot and the salad (usually bitter leaves) are cold.
Cooked that yesterday minus the leaves. It was a flavor that worked and I'll fix it again. Thank you! 🙏

Just purchased gluten free pork and black pudding pies from ‘Voakes’ at Whixley Grange (up north) for an easy breakfast, some sulphite free cider from Heron Valley down in Devon for birthday cider slushies and lots of scampi ready for Mr SSOAP’s low brow surf n turf 😂

The pie might seem an unusual breakfast choice but one son is a bit of a scatterbrain and has more than once realised he’s supposed to be at work and had to dash out of the door sad that he’s leaving breakfast behind, this way if/when it happens at least he can take a chunk of hot pie with him.

I usually serve this with homemade chorizo beans and oven ‘sun’ dried tomatoes.
Weighs you down for about an hour after (in a pleasant way) so best served at the weekend when a sofa sojourn is acceptable 😂

$60 worth of stuff from the Indian shop. Chick pea flour for pakoras sunday. Trying for the first time. Incense, I burn a few at night. Some treats for upstairs at night. That was yesterday.

I ate at McD’s today for…$2.35. I think if I had any grandkids, they’d be the grumpy miserable ones: “I can eat for $2.35, so can you!”

I don't believe you one bit. :)

Yeah, I use their app, so if I spend $2, I get free any size fries - $2.19 cheeseburger, free fries, and free water…with tax, $2.35.

I’m a soft touch, though…I round it up to an even $3 and that 65¢ goes to charity.
