It’s a little hard to read, but I’m reasonably sure, based on what I can make out, that I wouldn’t be in there to begin with.
Sadly, the food was terrible!Assuming this is from this morning, Uncle Larry's Biscuit and Gravy Combo!
Those are great prices, BTW.
Oh, and that’s what I’d ordered!Assuming this is from this morning, Uncle Larry's Biscuit and Gravy Combo!

That was my next question. They'd be better off raising menu prices and using better quality ingredients. Canned sausage gravy perhaps? Or was it execution in cooking error?Sadly, the food was terrible!
That’s it. Everything was poorly cooked. Bacon had been pre-cooked and they didn’t even attempt to warm it up. Biscuit was doughy and chewy inside (under-baked) and MrsT’s pancake was from a box mix, over-mixed and undercooked, so it was half-raw in the middle and very dense.Or was it execution in cooking error?
Yuck. I noticed it wasn't busy. It was cute and clean, but a place that serves good food would be packed on a Saturday. That’s it. Everything was poorly cooked. You know how a pancake should be golden brown? These were the palest of pale white, like some 14yo newlywed in a Jane Austen novel.
They used to be. We were wondering if the cook changed.Yuck. I noticed it wasn't busy. It was cute and clean, but a place that serves good food would be packed on a Saturday.
They must have, because who would let their best cook take a Saturday morning off? That's pretty much diner prime-time, so unless there was a family emergency...and whoever cooked your breakfast should be fired. Unless it was just the dishwasher filling in. But for the place to be that empty, it must be an ongoing problem, so...guess you won't be going back anytime soon! They used to be. We were wondering if the cook changed.
Ah well. You win some, you lose some. At least you can write that place off your list."Sadly, the food was terrible!
our market has a real sushi 'section' - real people making it real fresh - altho they do package it in a clamshell - a good variety of types and forms....
Yes, most of the grocery stores where I live have a sushi counter where they make it fresh as well. I can think of probably 10 places within a 20 mile radius that do that? But we have a favorite sit-down restaurant where we all go when we have a family gathering going out to dinner. It's really a nice place and they have cocktails/beer/wine/saki...our market has a real sushi 'section' - real people making it real fresh - altho they do package it in a clamshell - a good variety of types and forms....
Wednesdays is $5 sushi day - so that's typically when we get a batch. the menu plan 'blank' has a reminder and my shopping list program prints out a bold reminder when printed on a Wednesday . . .
