I seem to prefer that menu to other similar US menus posted here. Anchovy and onion pizza for me. How much would a dollar be worth in today's money?

I had pizza at LaRosa's when we went to King's Island, two or three years ago with the grandson. Definitely nothing to write home about.
I also took a glance at La Rosa's menu today, in 2024. No more salmon, no more shrimp and, by the looks of it, no more anchovies. The simple pizzas of old ( pepperoni, or anchovy, or mushroom) have now been transmogrified into "gourmet" pizzas, like the chicken, bacon, onion and Ranch special or the Focaccia Roma (pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, 4 cheeses and focaccia sauce - whatever that is!)

LaRosa’s pizza is ok, but their sandwiches are very good.

LaRosa’s at King’s Island, unfortunately, isn’t a good indicator overall. KI licenses the use of the name mainly, and it’s staffed by KI employees, product is sort of premade, akin to eating at a name restaurant at an airport. It’s not really the same.

Yeah,I hear you. Franchises in Amusement Parks, sports facilities, etc., don't usually come up to scratch.

I don’t think gluten free existed back then so the closest to safety would be the salmon.
But only if it was fried separately from the rest of the bready stuff, which it wouldn’t be

According to the (relatively unreliable) sources in googlioogle, "gluten free" first appeared on menus, etc., in 2010.

Could be true. I really don’t remember when it entered the mainstream, it was both a blessing and the beginning of daggered looks n ridicule that - “you’re one of those” aka annoying person with fuss making tendencies!

I look at that menu and I think "that is a quintessential American menu".
NOT a criticism, simply an observation. It's got everything that you guys love. Cheese, chicken, steak , burgers and cocktails. (Missing the pizza, however!) I love that when I'm over there because it's the ultimate comfort food.
I counted (quickly, so I might be wrong) 67 items on the menu (without including the desserts or cocktails)
26 had cheese in them.
20 had chicken/turkey
10 had beef
Only 4 had fish, and one of those had cheese in it.
It's no wonder that the USA is the biggest consumer of chicken in the world, even though many of us believe you just eat steak.
I'll have the fried green tomatoes and the cowboy burger, please!

A Fried Pork Tenderloin Sandwich - never had that before
And may I please have a White Peach Sangria? There was a restaurant here in Cowboyville Arizona (now gone) that served a lovely White Peach Sangria, haven't had one since.
