I was watching videos on YouTube the other day and saw Chef John making a `Rita ...

I could have sworn that I had Cointreau in the pantry aka hidden liquor cabinet ...
This Cocktail came out DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS!!!
One'll do ya though ... I gave a sip to DH, again, you should have seen his face :laugh:... "that's so sour" ... "I can feel that goin' down, WOW! that's really strong and burning" ... from my tea-tootling DH - he's not to drink alcohol any longer... but a taste is okay and he didn't care for it.

*Cook's Note: I'm turning into such the penny-wise housewife, this cocktail only cost me $2 as apposed to the `Rita I had for Taco Tuesday - $6.50 with just a whisper of Tequila :watching:

That looks a *lot* like whats called a *Cactus Juice* around here. Same volumes of tequila and Triple Sec with a squeeze of lime. Great when it's hot out and best when cutting the grass. Riding mower has a cup holder!!! 😅

All of my family members' dogs like wine. I don't know why. I don't give it to them and I don't know why they do, but not my house, not my dog, so...

Well I dunno, I’m torn on it. Why shouldn’t a dog get to enjoy a little chill out time. Lot’s of animals like booze 😂
I’ve never given it to mine because, well just because!

We have a very tall and productive pear tree in our backyard. When the pears get ripe, we don't pick them, but the squirrels and birds eat the heck out of them. The crows wait until some of the pears ferment and then they get drunk. It's funny as heck to see drunk crows trying to fly and listen to them laughing their crow cackles, LOL. I don't really like crows but that's entertaining.

It’s usually orchard pigs here what with it being cider country 😂
I’d love to see drunk crows! Wonder what genes for alcohol enzymes they have 😂

I learned recently that the most toxic food items for dogs are 1) chocolate, because of the theobromin 2) grapes, raisins &, consequently, wine, because they cause kidney failure 3) onions, garlic, leeks, chives - not so serious, but they cause diarrohea.
